Walnuts
How is it played? (Rules)
The boys were drawing a circle at the dirt and a straight line in 2 or 3 meters away from the circle (depending on the age of the boys). In order to define the paying order each one was throwing a big walnut towards the circle standing at the line. The big walnut was called «kafa». The order was defined based on the distance between the «kafa» circle the circle. Each player was putting 1 or 2 smaller walnuts inside the circle. By throwing the «kafa» towards the circle the players had a 3ple goal:
– To hit some of the walnuts inside the circle and drive them outside the circle. Earning them this way.
– To make their «kafa» to stay close to the circle, as this would be the throwing point for the next round of the game.
-the «kafa» shouldn’t stay in the circle because it was getting «burnt» and the player had to leave the game.
Sport or Game History and origins:
